Duration of DNB in India

  1. The DNB Qualifying Examination is a three-year, full-time course. After completing the first two years of study, candidates are required to sit for the final examination.

    Eligibility Criteria for DNB in India

    1. To qualify for DNB, candidates must have completed MBBS from an institution recognized by the MCI and one year of post-internship training.
    2. In addition, candidates must pass the DNB entrance examination, which the National Board of Examinations conducts. The DNB examination consists of a written examination and a clinical skills assessment.
    3. Candidates who complete the DNB examination are awarded the Diplomate of National Board title. DNB is considered to be equivalent to MD in India.
