  • Exam-Pattern Reverts Back to Pre-COVID Format

In the 2025 NEET exam, there are a total of 18O multiple-choice questions that are compulsory to answer, out of which 45 questions each for Physics and Chemistry, and 90 questions in Biology. You need to complete the exam within 3 hours (180 minutes), and no extra time will be allotted as the optional Section B has been removed from the test.

  • Tie-Breaking Criteria Updated

The tie-breaking criteria for NEET UG 2025 have been revised. As per the new guidelines by NTA, a random process will be adopted by an independent expert committee in case there is a tie in scores.

  • Changes in Exam Centers and Timings

This year, candidates can now choose three cities in order of preference, limited to their state of permanent or present address. Also, the centers will open 3 hours before the exam starts, at 11:00 AM, to facilitate smoother entry and security checks. Earlier, there were 557 centers, now, there are 522 centers for the NEET exam in 2025. Five cities that have been removed from the list of NEET UG 2025 exam centres are:
