The National Testing Agency i.e. NTA is conducting National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Under-Graduation abbreviated as NEET UG for giving admissions to students in MBBS, BDS and AYUSH courses of 2023 session. NEET UG 2023: Notification
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released its notification regarding the NEET UG examination. Some important notifications are mentioned below:
- Registration for NEET UG will start from 1 March, 2023.
- Only those students who have completed their 12th standard with PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) stream will be eligible for the examination and only they are allowed to register themselves.
- Students will get 1 month time to fill the registration forms.
- Admit cards will only be issued to those students who have successfully completed their registration forms.
NEET UG 2023: Eligibility Criteria
In order to check whether you are eligible for NEET UG examination or not, you must read all the criterias carefully. The eligibility criteria for NEET UG 2023 examination are mentioned below:
- Students must have completed their 12th standard with science background having specific subjects like PCB i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
- Minimum 45% marks are required in order to apply for the NEET UG examination.
- Applicants must be between 17 to 25 years of age (on or before 31st December of the same year) if they belong to General Category and they must be between 17 to 30 years old if they belong to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD Category.
- NRI or OCI card holders can also apply for this examination under the 15% AIQ (All India Quota) seats.
- Make sure you have secured a minimum 45% in class 12th and your result has to be declared before the commencement of the NEET UG examination.

Candidates may appear for the NEET UG examination as many times as they desire unless they reach the maximum age limit.

The marking scheme of NEET UG 2023 is simple. Every correct answer will be rewarded with 4 marks while there will be deduction of 1 mark for every incorrect answer and 0 marks will be deducted or awarded for any unattempted question.
