MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) will soon conduct a consultation session for the allocation of seats for the post-graduation courses like MD, MS, Diploma Programs, etc. You have to register online in order to participate in the consultation procedure. Registrations can be done on the official website of MCC. 

The date of the NEET PG 2023 consultation will be soon announced in an online mode. If you are a NEET PG candidate and meet the minimum cut-off percentage, then you are eligible to participate in the seat allocation process. The NEET PG 2023 consultation comprises online registration, fee payment, selection declaration, seat allocation result and report. 

You must be knowing that 50% of the quota seats for All India are consulted by the MCC, while the remaining 50% of the AIQ seats are consulted by the State Advisory Bodies. The MCC conducts a consultative process for the allocation of seats in Deemed Central Universities, 50% AIQ seats and 50% State Quota Seats. You must register online in order to participate in the consultation process.

There are four consultation rounds in total, the first round and the second round, mop up round and Stray Vacancy round taking turns to sweep the seats. You must register online in order to become eligible for the seat allocation. MCC will publish the seat allocation results based on your completed selections as per your preferences, seat availability, and other factors. The results of the allocation of quotas for each round will be announced separately.

NEET PG consultations are carried out for the following quotas:

  • 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats.
  • 50% State Quota seats.
  • Armed Forces Medical Services.
  • Deemed Universities.
  • Central Universities (DU, AMU, BHU).
  • ESIC Colleges.

Eligibility for the NEET PG 2023 Counselling Process

In order to participate in the NEET PG 2023 Counselling session, you must have a score greater than or equal to the qualifying cut-off score as published by the MCC. The NEET PG 2023 qualifying cut-off scores have been released along with the results. You can refer to the table below in order to understand the tendency of cut-off according to your category, qualifying percentile and cut-off scores.

NEET PG 2023 Counselling Process

If you have qualified the NEET PG 2023 examination and have achieved the minimum percentile, then you are eligible to participate in the NEET PG 2023 consultation process. NEET PG Consulting is for 50% AIQ seats and 100% Accredited/ Central Universities, ESIC and AFMS seats. MCC will hold a total of four rounds of NEET PG 2023 consultations for filling up the above seats. The remaining 50% of AIQ seats will be given counselling by the state authorities. The consultation process will begin with your online registration and ends with submitting all the documents to the designated agency.

The whole process of NEET PG Counselling 2023 is mentioned below:

  • Register Yourself: If you want to attend the NEET PG Counselling 2023, then you have to register yourself on the official website of MCC. Before each round, new registrations are accepted and if you have already registered yourself once, then you do not need to re-register yourself for the second time.
  • Fill Up Your Choices According to Your Preferences: MCC will provide a list of the program and the university among which you can choose any of them. You can choose as many options as you wish as per your preferences. You should keep in mind to check the filled options before submitting your application as the allocation of the seats will only be assembled on this basis.
  • Allocation of the Seats: MCC releases NEET PG counselling results in the form of a Seat Allocation Table. This table will be in the form of a pdf which will carry your name, rank, assigned course or faculty and your remarks. After you have completed your registration, the MCC will begin processing the seat allocation procedure. Seats will be allotted to you on the basis of the options filled by you, your AIR (All India Rank), seat availability, etc. MCC will then upload the Seat Allotment List on its official website.

Report to the University

After getting shortlisted, you must visit the University immediately which has been allotted to you. You should carry all the essentially required documents with you for the verification procedure with the self-attested copies. Then, you have to pay a certain amount of fees in order to confirm your admission in the particular Medical University. The list of documents you should bring with yourself to the designated agencies is mentioned below:

  • NEET PG Admit Card 2023.
  • NEET PG 2023 Result/ Rank Letter.
  • Class 10th Mark Sheet/ Birth Certificate.
  • Class12th Mark Sheet.
  • Mark sheets of MBBS.
  • MBBS Degree Certificate.
  • Rotational Internship Completion Certificate.
  • Permanent/ Provisional Registration Certificate Issued by MCI/ SMC.
  • Valid, Non-Expired and Authentic Photo ID Proof (PAN Card/ Driving Licence/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhar Card).
  • Caste Certificate (If Applicable).
  • Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (If Applicable).
  • Disability Certificate (If Applicable).

NEET PG 2023 Seat Matrix

The NEET PG 2023 Seat Matrix shows the number of seats available in various PG medical courses across different medical colleges and institutions in India. The seat matrix also illustrates how many seats are available for the different categories of candidates. Seat Matrix for NEET PG is always released before each NEET PG Consultation Rounds. In short, it is the total number of seats for which NEET PG Counselling is held in order to give admission for MD/ MS/ Diploma courses.

Consultation Round 1

Once you come to know the outcome of the seat allocation of NEET PG 2023 Consultation Round 1, you can select options based on your preferences and status. You will have to choose from the options below in order to participate in the next round of consultation in NEET PG 2023.

  • Option 1: This is called a “free exit”. The seat assigned to you in the first round of NEET PG 2023 consultation will automatically be forfeited if you do not report to the assigned college within the specified time.
  • Option 2: If you are satisfied with your assigned seat in the first round of NEET PG 2023 consultation, then you need to report to the assigned college within the given time frame in order to obtain the seat.
  • Option 3: If you are not satisfied with the seats from the first round, then you can choose to upgrade your seats and participate in the next round. If a seat is not upgraded in the second round of the NEET PG 2023 counselling, then the seat assigned in the first round will be retained.

Consultation Round 2

The process in the NEET PG Second round of consultation 2023 is similar to the first round. If you are a new applicant and did not participate in the first round, then you will need to register and pay a registration fee here. But if you have already registered for the first round, then you do not need to re-register again. It doesn’t matter, whether you have participated in the first round or not, but each candidate must complete their selection is what matters the most.

Consultation Mop Up Round

NEET PG 2023 Consultation Mop Up round awards seats in the prestigious Central Universities and ESIC Institutions.
